The buckwheat cover crop has sprouted. I should have taken a photo of the bird protection I had to rig up! I'm about to start another patch so I'll be sure to capture it this time. Such cute little seedlings, aren't they?

I LOVE that moon picture! Just wow!

BTW, the SoCal Edison guys dropped cable on my poor beautiful popcorn! It was doing so well. My sweet corn is still standing but it has never looked as healthy as the pink popcorn did!

Can you answer some buckwheat questions?
What nutrients are you replacing? Nitrogen? What crop are you following? Do you simply turn the buckwheat under?
