Our brave dragon For his first stop ever we went to the surf shop! (of course!)

Cyrus and I made paper flames to wear so we could be on fire!

Our Daily Fig

We have been picking one ripe fig per day off of our brown turkey fig tree. We have such addiction to the little candy-like fruits that I've decided to plant two more trees this fall. I think I'll do one more brown turkey, and one black mission. Yummm.

We joined my sisterIL and niece on a school field trip to The Farm for a hay ride and pumpkin gathering. Costumes were optional, so of course Colven jumped at the chance to wear his dragon costume!

Learning about the difference between fruits and vegetables

The gratuitous shot in front of something that spells out ORGANICS that big :)

The "pumpkin" Colven chose:
For some reason his choice just cracks me up! That's my boy! :)

Have I stated lately how fortunate I feel to be here, to be alive, to mother, to partner, to participate, to experience

THIS LIFE?

I don't think I have.

I do. I am.

In case I do not say it enough: Thank you dear friends, thank you fierce family, thank you Cyrus! I love you.

Just feeling it tonight. Love is in the stars! :) Damn this is a good feeling!

A snack fit for a 2 year old

Colven told me he was ready for a snack so we went inside. He said he wanted to make it and I thought that was a GREAT idea, I was so curious what we would end up with. He got one of the wooden bowls, then said he needed cheese, so we went through all the cheeses and only the goat gouda would do. Then he said he wanted some "dead fruit" (dried haha) so I pulled down the selections and he chose dried apricots, goji berries, and cherries. Then nuts to round it off, but "no seeds mama, NUTS!" I carried it outside, following him so he could show me where to set the bowl of snacks. He chose his art table out on the lawn so I set it down and sat. He ran over to the potato vine and picked some flowers for the table. What a romantic!
