Moons & Stars & Milky Ways

I found this little heirloom Moon&Stars watermelon gem today hiding in the asparagus patch! I planted late and honestly kind of forgot about the poor little bugger. Today as I was watering here and there this sweet single melon caught my eye and what interesting galaxies this melon sky beholds. We'll be having November melon for dessert tonight; What a treat!

Please report on the flavor of the melon. I have a volunteer watermelon sprouting.

It was surprisingly perfect! Not too sticky sweet but just the right amount. Excellent texture and I really like how this particular type is so easy to seed. One swipe of the finger along the thin wedge top and all the seeds fall out.

And to think it all happened without my tinkering haha.
